KNOW.

Hello 2022! Boy have we been anxiously awaiting your arrival! We've been ready to start fresh and forget our shortcomings from the previous year and put them behind us.

We are ready to pursue our dreams, desires, and aspirations. What are they?

I'm hoping they are very apparent by now, especially how most of us were affected by the events of the last year and a half!

Quite simply it is to address parts of our life (personal and professional) that have been less than satisfactory and then correct them.

If its a job or relationship that's not fulfilling us or making us happy, we know these are areas we want to focus on.

ASK.

In a Ted Talk given by Jennifer Cohen, she provided truth to the proverb "fortune favors the bold" (which the British SAS adopted and changed to "who dares wins"). She states that "Bold people think of all the good things that happen when things go right...boldness puts you on the path to success" (The Secret to Getting Anything You Want in Life).

Bold people aren't afraid to ask for what they want because they feel they deserve it.

Why don't people ask for what they want? It's fear that holds them back, and this topic is something I've been hoping to find the answer to: what makes people afraid of going after what they truly desire and how to overcome those fears? 2022 Is the year to get those answers and to start living bold my friends!

ACT.

Once we know what we want and have asked for it, the next step is to take action to achieve our desired outcome (overcoming fears or limiting beliefs, making small gains towards our ultimate goals, etc.). It's noble to know what we want and to state those desires out in the open, but unless we take action, nothing will come of it.

This reminds me of a sales training video that compares inaction (not asking for the sale) to the pains of dating. Two young people were dancing around the fact they wanted to spend more time with each other by stating that they liked certain things and the other person said they liked the same thing. It was even expressed that they both had the same free time but no one acted on the information until it became obvious the situation was getting awkward and one person left the interaction, both feeling disappointed.

I have a great feeling about 2022 and hope you do as well. This is the year we will be bold and ask/receive what we really want! This is the year we step into the spotlight and live how we truly desire to live.

Cheers!
